{"id":38,"date":"2024-11-26T06:26:02","date_gmt":"2024-11-26T06:26:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.172.31.161\/fisheries\/?page_id=38"},"modified":"2025-02-15T06:46:33","modified_gmt":"2025-02-15T06:46:33","slug":"fishfed","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fisheries.odisha.gov.in\/en\/fishfed\/","title":{"rendered":"FISHFED"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"color: #0388dc;\">Activities of FISHFED<\/h3>\n<p>The FISHFED is an apex body of all Primary Fishermen Cooperative Societies in the State, which looks for the socio-economic interest, as well as welfare of the poor fishermen of the State. There are 333 nos. of PFCSs comprising of 70,000 fishermen and women members under affiliation with FISHFED. In order to achieve the objective, the Federation is involved in a variety of businesses like marketing of fish products, fishery inputs, lease of fishery sairats in Chilika for the greater interest of the fisheries, production of fish and fish seed, development of infrastructure for fish marketing, maintenance and management of fishing harbours, landing centres and jetties etc.<\/p>\n<p><b>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 CHILIKA FRESH-<\/b><b> <\/b><br \/>\nFISHFED is running three nos. of \u201cChilika Fresh\u201d at Siripur, CRP Square and Sahid Nagar at Bhubaneswar. Similarly,12 nos. of Chilika Fresh are being operated and managed by M\/S Falcon Marines Exports Ltd. in PPP mode out of 26 nos. and one Hirakud Fresh at Sambalpur has been set up and is going to be inaugurated very shortly. Another 4 nos. of such Hygienic Fish Selling Outlets are to be set up at Bhadrak, Subarnpur, Nayagarh and Puri in PPP mode and the process is in final stage.<\/p>\n<p><b>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 FISH ON WHEEL-<\/b><br \/>\n10 nos. of ready to eat Canteen Van are being operated in BMC areas in the last year in PPP mode. Another 06 nos. of Fish on Wheel vehicle will be launched at Puri and Berhampur urban area in the current year. Similarly, 20 nos. of more \u201cFish on Wheel\u201d Vans will be launched very soon in different locations of Cuttack, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Baragarh, Jharsuguda &amp; Angul towns under RKVY programme for the year 2018-19.<\/p>\n<p><b>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 PROVISION OF REVOLVING FUNDS TO PFCS- <\/b><br \/>\n30 nos. of PFCSs have already been provided with revolving funds@ Rs2.00 lakhs per PFCS during the year 2017-18 for their development. Budgetary provision has been made for providing revolving funds to another 200 PFCSs amounting to Rs 400.00 Lakh for the year 2018-19.<\/p>\n<p><b>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 SETTING UP OF DRY FISH PROCESSING UNIT-<\/b><br \/>\nOne dry fish processing unit is going to be set up at Chandrabhaga under RKVY during the year 2018-19 which has been approved by the Govt.<\/p>\n<p><b>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 TRAINING AND AWARENESS PROGRAMME FOR THE FISHERMEN OF THE STATE-<\/b><br \/>\n250 nos. of PFCS members have been given training under state plan scheme \u201cReactivation of Fisheries Co-operative Societies\u201d during the year 2017-18.200 nos. of awareness meets were organised at Puri and Ganjam District with the funding of NCUI. 40 nos. Board of Directors\/Member of affiliated societies have been nominated to undergo leadership development training of NCUI during the year 2017-18.Two nos. of awareness mela will be held at Sambalpur &amp; Bhadrak and 60 nos. of Board of Directors\/Members are to be sponsored in this year for leadership development training.<\/p>\n<p><b>6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 FISHFED \u201cKANYA RATNA\u201d SCHOLARSHIP TO THE MERITORIOUS GIRL CHILD OF PFCS MEMBERS-<\/b><br \/>\n30 nos. of girl child have been provided with scholarship @Rs10,000\/-\u00a0 to the pass outs of +2 Science\/Commerce\/Arts examination during the year 2017-18. Another 30 nos. of girl child will be provided with Kanya Ratna scholarship in the current year during Co-operative Week Celebration. The Scheme will encourage girl child of PFCS towards higher education i.e,+3 Science\/Arts\/Commerce or, any technical course.<\/p>\n<p><b>7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 INTRODUCTION OF AERATOR AND INSULATED ICE BOX BUSINESS UNDER GOVT. SUBSIDIZED SCHEME-<\/b><br \/>\nGovt. in Fisheries &amp;ARD have declared FISHFED as the nodal agency for supply of Aerators and Insulated Ice Boxes under Popularization of Fisheries Equipment and Machineries in Fisheries sector in AGRISNET.<\/p>\n<p><b>8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 FREE HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO FISHERIES COMMUNITY IN ODISHA-<\/b><br \/>\nIt is proposed to provide free heath service to the PFCS members of the State during the year 2018-19 by organising health camp which is under process.<\/p>\n<p><b>9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ESTABLISHMENT OF FISH FEED PLANT-<\/b><br \/>\nOne Fish Feed Plant is going to be set up in PPP mode during the year 2018-19.The process is in final stage with MPCON Ltd (A Govt. of India Undertaking Organization).
